London shooting: Witnesses describe 'chaos' as people rushed to hide
Witnesses of a quadruple shooting which has injured four women and a two little girls have spoken of their horror.
A seven-year-old girl is fighting for her life in hospital, while a 12-year-old was also hurt along with women aged 21, 41, 48 and 54. Police said the 48-year-old suffered potentially life changing injuries.
Mourners recounted how they had gathered to watch a dove release following the double funeral for Fresia Calderon and daughter Sara Sanchez when a gunman opened fire from a passing vehicle outside St Aloysius Church, Euston.
Members of the congregation said the scene was "chaos" with people rushing back into the church for safety.
Some feared the noise may have been a bomb, with a priest who led the service describing a loud "bang" as the gun was fired.

Jaouida Ifghallal told MyLondon : "When the service finished, we were outside to see the flying of doves.

Another witness who was in the church at the time described the scene as "chaos".
"No one knew if it was a bomb or gunman," the witness said.
"We were looking for places to hide. We all just snuggled into corners where we could.
"We left after about 10 minutes, I did not dare [leave before]. It was not nice."

Three women, aged 48, 54 and 41 were rushed to a nearby hospital, with the first assessed as having potentially life-changing injuries. The 21-year-old woman was also taken to a central London hospital but no information was available on her condition.

A heavy police presence remained in place on Phoenix Road, which is behind Euston Station, on Saturday evening.

The Met Police said they were investigating the incident as a drive-by shooting, although at time of writing, no arrests had been made.

"The incident took place in the vicinity of a church where a funeral was taking place. Initial enquiries suggest the shots were fired from a moving vehicle which was then driven away from the scene."
