Boots' Elizabeth Arden social media post has Prince Harry fans in stitches

Skincare firm Elizabeth Arden has been a huge talking point this week after some eye-popping revelations in Prince Harry's book Spare.

In his memoir, which was released worldwide on January 10, the Duke of Sussex casually revealed that he used Elizabeth Arden cream on his frostbitten penis after a trip to Antarctica.

After Prince Harry's bizarre claims, the popular product flew out of stock on Amazon.

It seems as though royal fans are desperate to get their hands on the miracle product, which Prince Harry said his mother Princess Diana used to use on her lips.

Clever health and beauty retailer Boots has now joined in on the fun, with a tweet that hit the spot with royal fans.

Boots tweeted: "With temperatures predicted to drop next week, don't forget to stock up on your trusty Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream."

While Harry never clarified the product he used, many have speculated he opted for the cult classic Eight Hour cream, which can be used for all sorts of things, including protecting the skin.

The social media post doesn't directly mention the Prince, but royal fans were quick to understand why Boots tweeted it.

One person said: "It cures frostbite, according to a well known source..."

Another said: "Well-played," and a third added: "This is marketing at its finest!"

One commenter said: "I see what you did there," and someone else said: "Brilliant, just brilliant."

Another person replied with the famous "boom" meme of Harry, who is sitting next to his grandmother The Queen.

In his book, Harry explained that he had used the cream as a remedy for his frostbitten penis after a trip to the South Pole.

An extract from the book reads: "I'd been trying some home remedies, including one recommended by a friend, she'd urged me to apply Elizabeth Arden cream.

"My mum used that on her lips, you want me to put that on my todger?!', 'It works Harry, trust me',".

Elizabeth Arden has also taken the opportunity to promote their other products that can help customers during the colder months.

The skincare brand recently tweeted: "You've heard all the buzz about plumping Hyaluronic acid but did you know it's extremely helpful during the colder months?"

"The trick is to apply it to damp skin - HA pulls the moisture from the environment into the skin."

The post delighted royal fans, with one person saying: ""Elizabeth Arden is trolling #PrinceHarry," white another claimed: "Elizabeth Arden realising there's no such thing as bad publicity."
