Love Island fans call out Joanna's 'cruel game plan' amid Josh love triangle

Love Island All Stars viewers were left fuming at Joanna Chimonides after she stirred up drama by telling Sophie Piper about her brief flirty chat with Josh Ritchie.

Josh, 29 from season one of Love Island, had been growing close to 25-year-old season six star Sophie - but has also been toying with 27-year-old season five star Joanna. Viewers were shocked to see Josh switching his opinion about both women - seemingly unaware he was on camera.

In the dramatic scenes which aired on Monday night, Sophie declared she was not interested in anyone else, prompting Josh to say: “Same.” Sophie then declared he needed to find ways to “get back in my good books” and Josh smiled. Sophie then warned: “But first, I think you need to speak to Joanna and tell her how you’re feeling.”

Little did Sophie know at the time that Josh had just come back from a flirty chat with Joanna on the terrace, where he told her that he was still interested in getting to know her - despite the fact that Sophie confessed she was 'closed off' to anyone else besides Josh.

However, later in the episode, Josh appeared to change his mind and told Joanna that he only had eyes for Sophie as he ended their flirty banter for good. Moments later, Joanna - who said that she was 'glad' that Josh ended things - grabbed Sophie for a chat and told her what Josh had said earlier - that he was still interested in getting to know her.

After Joanna pulled Sophie for the 'unnecessary' chat by the firepit, viewers flocked to Twitter to call out her 'gameplan'. One Twitter user ranted: "There was absolutely no need to tell Sophie that, Josh had deaded it. It was done. Ughhhh."

Another frustrated viewer tweeted: "Idk why Joanna felt the need to say anything it makes her look very bad mind imo." And another questioned the point of Joanna's actions, writing: "Not sure who benefits from this exchange."

Meanwhile, another tweeted: "Did Joanna really and truly need to do that?? It's giving gameplan." Another fan pointed out Joanna's timing, noting: "Joanna had ALL DAY to tell Sophie...but decided too after Josh called it a day and you seen them happy together??"
