Harry and William's grief 'could help them reconnect' after King's cancer news
Supporting their father King Charles III after his cancer diagnosis could give royal brothers Prince William and Prince Harry a chance to 'reconnect', according to an expert.
Prince Harry is reportedly flying from California in a bid to be close to his father as soon as possible, after the King personally spoke to all of his siblings and children to inform them of the news that he's been diagnosed with cancer. The shock health news comes after the Monarch underwent surgery for his prostate last month, and had cancer confirmed which will see him undergo treatment. As the news emerged it's believed the King is being surrounded by his loved ones including sons Prince William and Prince Harry.
The two brothers have had a strained relationship in recent years, especially after Harry released is autobiography 'Spare' was released last year which detailed his view of life in the royal family and the impact on his and his wife Meghan Markle. Yet it's thought the two brothers could now come together and see them 'mend some bridges' as their shared grief and worry for their father could 'also help them to reconnect'.

I don’t think anyone should be thinking anything other than 'How can we get him to his father’s side as fast as possible?'

"I also hope this could be an avenue for the brothers to mends some bridges. I think there have been mistakes on both sides but at the end of the day family is family and you only get one life, one father, and in their case one brother. There’s nothing like the terrible fear of losing the ones we love to make us realise what we have. It brings a really sharp sense of priorities to the forefront as well."
She added: "It’s a reminder that life is fragile and all too short, and that realisation is sometimes all one needs to give the encouragement to let feuds go. I’m sure the princes are both feeling the loss of their Mother especially strongly right now also, and that could also help them to reconnect."

The news about King Charles III's health was confirmed today (February 5) by Buckingham Palace, who released a statement detailing how the Monarch would be stepping back from public-facing duties whilst he undergoes cancer treatment. The statement from Buckingham Palace reads: "During The King's recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.
"His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual. The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.
"His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer."
