Rasmus Hojlund appears to have finally settled into life at Manchester United, with the striker admitting he is part of a "little group" in the dressing room.

Hojlund struggled badly in his first six months at Old Trafford following his £72million transfer from Atalanta last summer. It took him until Boxing Day to score his first goal in the Premier League, but that strike has opened the floodgates.

He now scored in the three top-flight games following that win, in the draw with Tottenham, the victory over Wolves and Sunday's triumph over West Ham. The Dane also added United's fourth goal as they knocked Newport out of the FA Cup last week.

Those goals, coupled with the two assists he has also notched in his last four outings, suggest he has found his feet at the Red Devils. And that has further been backed up by the insight the 21-year-old gave into the United dressing room earlier this week.

Hojlund has become close friends with Kobbie Mainoo, who has broken into the United first-team this season. And the Dane has revealed that United's younsgters have formed a group within the dressing room.

“We enjoy spending time together. The young guys have a little group where we're chatting to each other and it's very cool to have other young players around the team. Hopefully we can set an era for the club and be here many years together," he said.

“If you're good enough, you're old enough and I think that's a good thing. We're here for a reason. You can see Kobbie’s composure. He is so relaxed on the ball. Now he's also starting to show that he has the scoring parts of his game as well. He's a complete player.”

That bond between the youngsters was on full display at Old Trafford on Sunday as United comfortably beat West Ham. Hojlund opened the scoring, before academy product Alejandro Garnacho netted twice in the second-half.

To celebrate his first goal, which came thanks to a lucky deflection, Garnacho jumped on the advertising hoardings before crossing his arms. He was joined in the same position by Hojlund and Mainoo, with all three having smiles on their faces.

Hojlund's goal was particularly well taken, as the Dane cut past the West Ham defence before firing in. And the strike was a goal that clearly impressed legendary United captain Roy Keane.

"Obviously United are pressing high up the pitch and they’re getting good bodies up the pitch but Hojlund just scores an absolutely brilliant goal. He’s in form at the moment, this is what the game is about, I love it," he told Sky Sports.

"He feints and the defender thinks he goes onto his weaker side, he cuts back, and he produces these moments - it’s what you want from your top striker. He’s got a lot of confidence, he’s on a good run at the moment, brilliant goal."
