YouTube star Deepak Nagar, 28, was murdered by what has been described as a 'mob' after an argument broke out at a party, it's been reported.

It's claimed the 28-year-old influencer begged for mercy as he was beaten with sticks in the early hours of Tuesday morning at a rented holiday home in Greater Noida, India.

Prankster Deepak, who had over 500,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel, was reportedly pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries shortly after arriving at a hospital in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

It's thought the YouTuber suffered multiple fractures, haemorrhages, and severe head trauma as a result of the beating. According to eyewitnesses, the attack took place in the early hours of morning after a fight broke out between friends regarding some old issues.

Timely Mint News reports the row erupted at around 3am, with party goer Ankit Sharma recalling how things escalated dramatically after some initial verbal taunts and minor scuffling. She told the publication: "One of them landed a forceful punch straight to Deepak’s head, knocking him to the ground."

She went on to claim at least seven attendees at the party then set upon Deepak, kicking and landing blows on the YouTuber's body. The report then states that the mob took wooden sticks being used as decor in the holiday rental and used then to beat Deepak further.

"It was a frenzied attack. He was screaming and crying while they showed no signs of stopping the brutal beating," Ankit went on to tell the publication. A First Information Report (FIR) has reportedly been registered at the local police station against the alleged seven attendees who participated in Deepak's murder. The accused are allegedly in hiding as a massive manhunt has been launched to find them.
