Kim Kardashian's painful skin condition is result of 'stress of her busy life'
Kim Kardashian has admitted she's in a lot of pain after suffering from an irritating skin condition, which one expert believes is the result of her "jet set lifestyle".
The 43-year-old reality star has been very open about her experience living with psoriasis, which causes itchy patches of skin. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Kim shared a video of her latest flare-up which can be seen on the lower half of her leg.
Skincare expert Amish Patel has offered an insight into the skin condition and said Kim could be experiencing the flare up as a result of stress. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, he said: "Psoriasis can flare up for a variety of reasons such as stress, sunburn, being unwell recently, through a graze to the skin, cold dry weather and even changes in hormones.

Speaking about how to overcome psoriasis, Amish said: "Because triggers can vary from person to person it's more about finding out what triggers your psoriasis and managing these contributing factors as best you can."

Speaking in an Instagram video, Kim said: "How crazy is my psoriasis right now guys? It's like all up my leg, I don't know what's happening, but I gotta figure this out, this is crazy."
Over the top of the clip, she wrote: "Not gonna lie this is painful. Not sure what my triggers are. I haven't changed my diet, I've tried everything. Psoriasis sucks." She then shared a follow up video to show fans just how far it had spread.

In a caption, Kim added: "I just wanted to share my journey with you guys."
Psoriasis can happen to anyone and there is no cure as it's an over-reaction of the immune system which causes inflammation and the rapid growth of skin cells. Kim was diagnosed with the condition in 2011. Her momager Kris Jenner also suffers from the disease.
Kim revealed she was upset when she found rashes on her body and has previously spoken out about the condition, saying it had "taken over" her body. "My career is doing ad campaigns and swimsuit photoshoots, people don’t understand the pressure on me to look perfect," she said on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. "When I gain a pound, it's in the headlines. Imagine what the tabloids would do to me if they saw all these spots."
