The man who allegedly beheaded his own father and posted a video of his head on YouTube had previously shared disturbing rants about killing his family and encouraging others to do the same.
Justin Mohn, 32, decapitated his 68-year-old dad at their family home in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, police say. Justin then held up his head in an unhinged YouTube video, calling his dad a traitor and spouting right-wing conspiracy theories criticising the American government.
Pennsylvania police found a machete and a huge kitchen knife next to the beheaded body of the victim, Michael, after receiving a call from his horrified wife. 63-year-old Denise had found her husband’s headless corpse surrounded by a “large amount of blood” in a bathroom at their home, according to court filings.

His horrifying guide to revolution in America was published on Amazon Kindle and has since been taken down (Facebook)Responders to the scene then made the shocking discovery of the victim’s head inside a plastic bag in a large cooking pot in a bedroom next door to the bathroom. Detectives also found a large kitchen knife and a machete in the bath and bloody rubber gloves in another bedroom.

Justin was arrested on Tuesday night after reportedly fleeing the scene in his father’s car. On Wednesday he was charged with murder in the first degree, abuse of a corpse, and possession of an instrument of crime with intent. He is being held without bond and will appear in court on February 8.

In the 2020 document, which has since been removed from the platform, he wrote: “Americans will have to weigh what is worse - allowing themselves to lose freedom and independence or killing their own family members, teachers, coworkers, bosses, judges, elected leaders, and other older generations.”

He also called himself "The Second Massiah".
It remains unclear whether Justin was a supporter of Donald Trump. While many of his rants included angry hatred against President Biden, some of his comments towards the former Republican president were less admiring and more threatening.

The disturbing video stayed on YouTube for six hours before being taken downIn the disturbing rant, he continues: “Violence is the only solution to the federal government’s treason,” before going on to urge relatives living with federal employees to murder them and offering $1 million to anyone who could kill top US officials. The video was posted at 5.30 pm on Tuesday and remained on YouTube for six hours after it was posted. Police have confirmed that the video is part of the investigation into the beheaded man.
