Sleeping on a flight can be really difficult, even if you're really tired, but one company seems to have solved all your woes by creating an unusually shaped pillow - and people are amazed and baffled in equal measure.

The FaceCradle, with an unusual toilet seat-shape, uses its two cushions to support your head and body so you can sleep with ease on a plane. It can also be moved into a variety of different positions to suit the user and can be worn around the neck like a traditional travel pillow, or can be manipulated differently.

What's more, when it's not being worn, the two parts can be brought together so it's not unnecessarily bulky to carry through the airport.

The FaceCradle was invented by David Scrimshaw, who has won multiple awards and is a frequent flyer after his wife complained that a travel pillow wasn't comfortable enough and didn't have enough support. The website reads: "The result truly provides an upgrade to sleeping class and has finally changed long-haul travel forever. In transit, FaceCradle is the next best thing to a flatbed seat."

David said that the reason a FaceCradle allows you to enjoy a longer sleep is due to the fact your face stays in contact with it, meaning you've got "support in those positions", and the "pillow can't fall away from you." If you're a frequent traveller, the price is reasonable too, as it comes in at £38.44 and can be purchased from the FaceCradle website.

However, despite its perks, there have been some people complaining about how extra the accessory looks.

One woman shared a video of her husband, as he was wearing a FaceCradle. She captioned it: "POV: You're stuck in economy on a 15-hour flight. Your husband bought a super cool and not at all embarrassing toilet seat cushion head strap contraption so you can sleep sitting up..."

Someone praised the look of the pillow, however, writing: "This actually looks perfect for sleeping! Need." Another penned: "If it looks stupid and it works, it’s not stupid. I would use this", with a social media user agreeing saying it would be especially good on "long flights."
