YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul will face Ryan Bourland on March 2 in a bid to build up his professional record.

The social media sensation brutally knocked out professional boxer Andre August in the first round last month in his first fight against an unknown opponent. It was the first time Paul hadn't fought on pay-per-view in almost four years and his upcoming bout against 35-year-old Bourland, who has a record of 17-2, will also be his first time not fighting in a main event since his professional debut.

“I’ve always said my goal is to become a world champion. I beat a pro boxer in December in the first round, someone who’s been boxing their entire life, and what did I do next? I went straight back to camp to get ready to face my next opponent, a professional boxer who has twice as many professional fights under his belt than I do," Paul said.

"Next up is a guy who has twice as many professional fights under his belt than I do. Ryan “The Rhino” Bourland. And just like the animal in his bone chilling nickname… he is also endangered." Paul is also donating his entire fight purse from the event to his nonprofit charity Boxing Bullies to help renovate gyms across Puerto Rico.

Paul's will be chief support on the night as the event is headlined by Serrano's world title fight against Nina Meinke. Serrano, who is managed by Paul, was stripped of her world title by the WBC last month despite beating Danila Ramos because of the governing body's refusal to sanction female boxing matches at her fight at her desired 12 x three-minute rounds.

"This one is for the greatest Puerto Rican boxer ever, Amanda Serrano. This one is for the people of Puerto Rico, from the Choliseo to the world. This one is for all of boxing to see how powerful women are in this sport and for Wanna Walton to usher in his superstar boxing future in front of 20,000 people," Paul added.

Paul has been warned by Bourland that he is in for a reality check as the 35-year-old said: "Jake Paul steps into the ring with his social media clout, but let's not mistake followers for experience or skill. While he's been busy chasing likes, I've been honing my craft for years, stepping into the ring and beating real boxers. I will shock the world and put an end to Jake Paul's boxing career."
