Urban explorer catches 'creepy mysterious figure' on CCTV in abandoned hospital
Make no bones about it - hospitals can be some of the most creepiest places around. Big echoing corridors that go on for an age, intimidating equipment everywhere and just the knowledge that many people die in them.
And if an active hospital isn't scary enough at times then an abandoned one surely is, always. One brave Minnesota-based urban explorer took it upon himself to have a look around one such disused hospital and the outcome was more than a little hair-raising.
For starters, the video recently posted by reichert.exploratory on TikTok came under the title 'Something terrible must of [sic] happened...' It begins with the words: 'We found something terrifying in this abandoned hospital,' as the scene moves slowly down an otherwise colourful corridor except for a foreboding darkness at the end of it.

The clip then cuts to a trail of brownish liquid spilt all over the floor by a huge green bin, with the caption: 'Is this what I think it is?' The explorer, who is perhaps wisely accompanied by a friend, opens the bin and is greeted with a cloud of flies inside as the video explains: 'The terrible smell must have attracted the flies.' The pair then move on down a much darker corridor, adding 'We decided to keep exploring and it got even scarier.'

Bizarrely they then find a TV that is still on before an alarm begins to go off and the room is bathed in a deep, flashing red. Suddenly, they see a CCTV camera with an image of an unknown figure walking somewhere through the hospital.
The caption reads: 'Then we saw someone walking around from one of the cameras,' before one of the explorers appears on the video claiming that something unseen touched him, saying "I don't know what the hell it was!" A crackle is then heard creepily emitting from a speaker on a wall as the video finishes on clips inside the hospital's children's ward along with dozens of unidentified transparent red liquid in test tubes under the caption: 'I wonder what all this stuff was used for?'
One creeped out viewer commented: "I went into an abandoned hospital they scared the hell out of me I couldn't sleep for three days. The hospital i went to there's lots of stories," while one nurse said: "You know hospitals are like some of the most haunted places. Especially a children’s hospital. Believe me I’m a nurse."
Another hospital worker agreed: "Honestly hospitals are scary. I work in one & I always keep my headphones in because I don’t want to hear nothing even tho I feel stuff sometimes." However, some viewers offered a more rational take on the video, as one noted: "Doesn’t look abandoned to me… whose paying for the gas, electricity and cable."
