Coleen Nolan says she has 'been there' after admitting it is 'extremely sad' to see son Shane and his Miss Great Britain wife Maddie Wahdan split amid accusations he was unfaithful.
Singer Shane reportedly admitted to seeing another woman while he was still with Maddie, but it is yet to discuss the rumours. His mum is said to be "disappointed" by his actions with fans pointing out it was a case of 'history repeating itself' after Shane's dad Shane Richie had an affair while with the Loose Women star.
Coleen has spoken for the first time since the demise of his short-lived marriage and says she still adores his ex. The 58-year-old, who is also the mother to Jake Roche, 31, and Ciara Fensome, 22, says Maddie will get through the difficult time and speaking to OK! Magazine, the TV star says she wishes things were different.

The news came as a shock to 'disappointed' mum Coleen, who has suffered her own heartache (Ken McKay/ITV/REX/Shutterstock)“I love them both and I always will. It’s always extremely sad when something doesn’t work out – it’s always sad for both parties,” she tells the publication. “Obviously Shane’s my son and I adore him. And I still adore Maddie. I can sit and talk to Maddie for hours, I’ve been there and done it. But she’s doing great. I mean, she’s Miss GB, she’s beautiful and she’s a great person, and she’s got nothing to worry about. She’ll fly.”
Shane married Maddie in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family in June 2022. Shane and the beauty star had been together for six years before getting married at Rushton Hall in Kettering. However, the two decided to call time on their relationship and Coleen tied the knot with Shane Sr in 1990. The two stayed together until they split in 1999.

She previously opened up about him cheating on her during their marriage. In 2012, Coleen told the Daily Star how her divorce from Shane eventually brought her peace. "I'm in a much happier place now than when I was married to Shane – I don't have to worry about what he gets up to any more," she said. Now she is dealing with the fall out of her son's marriage breakdown.
A source claimed to The Sun : "It's sad the relationship has come to an abrupt end so soon after they tied the knot. Shane admitted he'd cheated. Maddie can't see any way back from the betrayal, so ended their marriage. Coleen is really upset as she adored Maddie and sees her as another daughter. She is disappointed to see history repeating itself. It's a case of like father, like son. Maddie is heartbroken. She is standing firm on her decision to move on with her life. She would never be walked over."
Coleen also spoke about the future - and warned that even if boyfriend Michael Jones puts a ring on it, that doesn't automatically mean she'll be getting hitched. The couple definitely want to continue living together after a successful “tester situation” in their current home having got back together after some time apart last year.
Coleen – who got divorced from her second husband, Ray Fensome, in 2018 – told OK! “I might get engaged, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to walk down the aisle. I know Michael would like to marry me and to be fair to him, it’s probably from insecurity because I’ve finished with him three times since I met him.
“It was all my issues, because of what I’d gone through, so I was pushing him away thinking I couldn’t deal with it. I’ve had therapy, I’ve sorted my life out, and I’m very open to everything he’s providing me emotionally, and it’s fantastic. So let’s not try to fix something that isn’t broken.”
