Halle Bailey hits back after criticism of her hiding her pregnancy

Halle Bailey has been reminiscing about the time she was pregnant and people are not liking it.

Halle kept her pregnancy a secret for months even when people were speculating. The singer hit back at a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, who accused her of lying to fans by not telling them she and her boyfriend and rapper DDG were expecting. She wrote: "I never lied or even said anything about it honey , making a joke about my nose was the farthest i went . i’ll never understand why you are mad i protected my own peace, wouldn’t you do the same?" She continued:" And i’m gonna share my pics now if i want to because my son is here safely, if u don’t wanna see it just keep scrolling baby lol God bless you."

She was responding to a fan that tweeted that she believed people were annoyed at the fact that Halle lied and "gaslit" people about her pregnancy and called them "desperate," but now wants to post "every little detail" about it. After Halle tweeted about how she felt, she made a separate post, writing: "Lol my hormones have been on 10 recently so i’m gonna go back to staying off twitter. love you all."

Halle sparked pregnancy rumors when she attended the MTV Video Music Awards in a black dress, which was flowy, back in September 2023. She recently posted pictures from a photoshoot, in which she was pregnant, and admitted to fans that the belly was photoshopped out. On Snapchat, she addressed fans on wanting to make sure she had a "private healthy life" and had to stay away from social media.

She wrote: "Honestly I stayed off of all social media. I really tried to just keep myself sane and I know that there was a lot of people who would always comment and be like, ‘We know girl, we know.'" Shen thanked fans for understanding.

The 23-year-old Atlanta-born actress took to Instagram on January 6 to introduce the world to her newborn son Halo. She captioned her photo: "Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you."
