Mum's school lunches leave parents gobsmacked as kids have a 'caviar addiction'

A mum has raised a few eyebrows after she revealed her kids are "addicted" to caviar - and they will eat it most days.

Many parents will know the struggle of trying to introduce kids to new foods and trying to get them to broaden their appetites - but one mum has regretted introducing her children to pricey snacks and asked who is going to help her fund her kids "caviar addiction".

Mum-of-two Niky, who goes by the name @niky.mamamd shared a video online about what her wanted for lunch - and it's stirred a debate over their expensive taste.

Niky, who is also a paediatrician shared that her kids have quite the pricey pallete, and will snack on caviar with gouda cheese over a regular grilled cheese sandwich or slice of toast. However she said she regrets introducing them to the expensive snacks and joked that she needs to get a "second job" to help fund their appetite.

In the video, she asked her kids what they wanted for lunch and said: "Hey guys, what do you want for lunch? Grilled cheese, peanut butter and jelly, or bread with cream cheese and caviar?" To which they chose the caviar. Niky then asked what type of cheese they wanted between "regular cream cheese" or "scallion cream cheese".

No surpise they chose the more lavish option. Niky then clarified: "So you would like bread with scallion cream cheese and caviar and then you want bread with cream cheese and raspberries and some cheese [...] and this is all for lunch?" She then asked her child if they would prefer Gouda cheese or string cheese on the side - and of course, chose the Gouda.

Niky then joked she needed to get a second job to fund their diet, and as she prepared the lavish lunch said: "Mummy's going to need to make a lot more money to support this lifestyle." However it didn't seem as if the caviar lunch was up to scratch as her child then told her how they preffered "black caviar" when she handed over a plate of red caviar and apologised.

"You had the black caviar at Baba's house. I know where you guys first had the red caviar," the mum ended the TikTok and wrote "send help". She then captioned the video: "Who's going to fund my kids' caviar addiction?"

However it sparked debate as other parents were shocked by what she feeds her kids, as one commented: "And, whooooo introduced them to the expensive foods? That'd be you mum. You did this!" And another added: "Suddenly I'm really happy my kid only eats pancakes French fries and cheese."

Whereas others were in the same position as Niky, as one parent shared: "Yep - caviar and sushi!!! I thought my kids wouldn't like it. Boy was at a mistake," and a second echoed: "My kid's doctor asked my 5 yr old what he likes to eat and he said, 'steak, shrimp, sushi, and crab' she told me my pockets are gonna be hurting."
