Wolves ruthlessly mocked Jurgen Klopp after the Liverpool boss claimed that Ruben Neves' strike does not count in his assessment of the game.
Julen Lopetegui's side ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at Molineux thanks to a Joel Matip own-goal, Craig Dawson's first for Wolves and Neves' second-half finish. It is a result that moves the West Midlands side two points clear of the relegation zone, while Liverpool remain 10th.
And in his post-match press conference, Klopp made this bizarre statement: "The third goal I don't count because it was the first time they passed the halfway line in the second half. The other two goals, going into a game with all the things we said during the week and before the game then this start is horrible."
Klopp's comments have received plenty of attention and Wolves' social media team, as usual, took advantage of a chance to mock an opponent, like they did against Nottingham Forest earlier in the season. They posted a separate tweet with a photo which stated that Wolves won 2-0 and crossed off Neves from the scorers at the bottom of the graphic.
They included the caption of a man struggling his arms and shoulders in disbelief, as Wolves chose to mock Klopp's comments. Inside the first hour, the tweet alone had over 1 million views and 20,000 likes as supporters laughed off their tongue-in-cheek post.

This isn't the first time the Wolves social media team has mocked another club, as stated, having done the same to Forest after they posted a pre-match tweet with some baby wolves alongside the caption 'playtime'. With the game nearing its conclusion, the initial tweet was deleted by Forest, but the social media sparring did not end there.
Wolves decided to post a full-time tweet that featured a Wolves-branded axe lodged into a tree stump in the middle of the Molineux pitch. In a clear reference to the initial post, Wolves captioned their response 'Playtime's over.' A brutal response to Forest's tweet.

But for Liverpool, there is no doubt Klopp was seething following the full-time whistle as his side lost their third successive away Premier League game for the first time since 2012. He admitted that there is "no excuse" for his side's dismal performance and Klopp also claimed that they should have "defended better" throughout the game.
"Obviously it was a horrible start," Klopp told Premier League productions. "Two goals which cannot happen like that. But it happened and we were 2-0 down because of our own fault.
"We should have defended better. We were passive in that period. I cannot explain it. There is no excuse for it. You're 2-0 down, the crowd is there but it opens up and we get some control. Then for about 45 minutes we play a good away game without scoring. That sums it up pretty much."
