Third man charged over Boxing Day murder of footballer Cody Fisher at nightclub
A third man has been charged with the murder of footballer Cody Fisher at a nightclub on Boxing Day in Birmingham, police have confirmed.
Reegan Anderson, 18, is accused of killing the 23-year-old at the Crane nightclub, and he will appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court today.
He joins Kami Carpenter, 21, and Remy Gordon, 22, who have also been charged with killing Mr Fisher and were remanded in custody after appearing in court.
West Midlands Police said that Anderson was detained on Thursday.
A statement from the police read: "We've charged a third man with the murder of Cody Fisher who was stabbed to death in a Birmingham nightclub on Boxing Day.

"The 18-year-old from Erdington has now been charged with murder and affray and will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (13 January).
"We continue to ask for anyone with information which can assist our ongoing enquiries to come forward."
Meanwhile, Carpenter and Gordon have already appeared in court where they were not asked to enter a plea for the murder charge but both pleaded not guilty to a linked charge of affray.
Police have said Mr Fisher, who played for non-league side Stratford Town, was stabbed on the dancefloor of the Digbeth nightclub, which has since had its licence suspended.

“I love you forever Cody Fisher."
She added he was "my whole world, the love of my life, my best friend".
She wrote online: "My poor baby. I'm so sorry this has happened to you. My whole world, the love of my life, my best friend has been taken away from me.
"I don't know how I'm going to do life without you Code. There is so much we will never get the chance to do now. This doesn't feel real. I love you forever Cody Fisher."

A statement from Mr Fisher's family added: "They have broken our hearts; I have lost my best friend. My family and I are asking for privacy and respectfulness at this heart-breaking time."Anderson, who told the court he was of no fixed address, also faces a linked charge of affray.
A court spokeswoman said Anderson had been ordered to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday of next week.
