The Traitors' Jasmine reacts to 'gutting' axe from series as 'winners sealed'

The Traitors UK star Jasmine said it was "hard" filming her final episode, as she shared she was "gutted" to be axed ahead of the final.

Jasmine found herself banished at the final round table ahead of Friday's finale, as the Faithful was eliminated from the game. Accused of being a Traitor, Jasmine soon proved the three remaining Faithfuls wrong and announced she was one of them, as the two Traitors watched on.

But Jasmine saw her exit coming, as devastated as she was to leave so close to the finale. It meant she could not really enjoy the final day of filming as she knew her show fate was looming after a number of accusations from other players.

So when the time came that she announced her true role, Jasmine admitted it felt good to see them find out the truth - but it was "gutting" to be axed. Not only that, but she confessed she "could have passed out" as she finally learned who the real Traitors were.

Jasmine has now revealed who she hopes will win the series and why, after missing out on the chance herself. On her exit, she told Lorraine host Christine Lampard: "I was spitting distance away from the final, a mere six hours away from the final. I was so close and to be gone, it was so, so gutting."

She added: "I knew from the start of that day, probably even from Ross' round table, I was gone. So it was about damage control and anticipating it and trying to enjoy the last day, but it's hard when it's just before the final because you wanna be there."

On the moment she was told after filming that Harry was a Traitor, she said: "I could have passed out. I was so gagged, it was crazy. When [Zack] said Harry I was like you're joking, he can't have said Harry! It was genuine shock.

"He is really lovely, I will always sing Harry's praises. That's why he's got so far, he’s a really nice guy, he wears his heart on his sleeve. I think that is why people believe him because why would Harry lie?"

On who should win the show, she said: "I want Mollie to win. I love Mollie so much, she’s like my sister we're so close. She deserves to win, she's an inspirational girl." It comes as co-star and former Traitor Paul revealed on Good Morning Britain that he hoped the Traitors would go all the way.

The show 'villain' also confessed he was mistaken over the format during filming for the first episode, leading to him being "so crossed" with host Claudia Winkleman. Claudia soon redeemed herself though where Paul is concerned, with her selecting him as a Traitor.

Talking about his game plan and why he acted the way he did, he told Good Morning Britain that he wanted to be a 'villain' from the off. But as filming got underway he thought he'd missed out on the chance, leaving him "cross" with host Claudia.

Paul had not realised that when picking the initial Traitors, Claudia walks around the circular table multiple times before pinching the shoulder of each chosen player. So when she walked past him and he heard her walk off, he was disappointed - only to be pinched moments later.

Discussing filming, which took place last year, he explained: "I was so cross at the start with Claudia because she does laps. I didn't know this, so I thought when she walked past me and I heard the footsteps go, I'm not gonna be a Traitor.

"I really wanted to be a Traitor. But when she came back again it wasn't a tap, it was a pinch. It was like a proper there you go kind of thing, and it flipped a switch in me, and I just thought you're a Traitor, really go for it."

The Traitors series 2 concludes Friday at 9pm on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on , , , , and .
