A woman has revealed how she was left flabbergasted after a neighbor tried to 'steal' her gardener to tend to her own yard, demanding that she was entitled to get the same treatment for free.

Taking to social media to share her outrage, she explained that she lives in a complex where most of the residents are friendly with one another, with one of the neighbors - Ben - even taking it upon himself to mow everyone's lawns.

Despite this, after saving up some extra money, the woman shared that she had decided to put it towards getting her garden sorted out as it was a mess, and for two weeks someone had been working on her front yard for a couple of hours a day.

She wrote: ["One of my neighbors, Jessica, came up to the gardener, which I could see as I have security cameras outside so I can see what's going on in the driveway. She began complimenting him on his great work. I popped my head out so I could hear what was being said but they couldn't see me.

"]She started getting overly complimentary and I had a sneaking suspicion of what she was getting at.[" Suspecting what Jessica was building up to, the woman overheard her asking the gardener to come and tend to her yard afterward, stating that her neighbor wouldn't mind sharing him.

Catching her in the act, the woman confronted Jessica and told her the gardener's rates were $30 an hour or $300 for the whole day. Relaying their conversation, the woman revealed Jessica had been horrified at the cost and demanded that she have the work done for free - claiming it to be her "]responsibility[".

According to Jessica, because their neighbor Ben mows her lawn for free she should also get to use the gardener for free. Putting her firmly in her place, she revealed Jessica had "]huffed and stomped off[" but she was fully expecting her to pipe up again soon.

People reading the Reddit post were left stunned by Jessica's entitled actions. One person responded: "]That's so disrespectful to the gardener. They're not a slave- they don't work for free. Wtf? They're doing a job for people who paid them! She managed to disrespect two people at once." Someone else added: "I love people like Ben. I hate when the world expects everyone to be like Ben all the time. Or worse yet, as in your case, expect you to foot the bill for their stuff."
