Like a crisp white shirt or a beige trench coat, a is a wardrobe essential that never goes out of style. A timeless classic, this iconic style can be thrown over just about anything for an immediately chic ensemble.

One has been receiving rave reviews from customers since summer saw it sell out in toffee and grass green colourways. But now, due to overwhelming demand from fashion lovers, the that are perfect for spring.

The high street favourite’s , has recently launched in a refreshed colour palette starring a luxury-looking buff, sophisticated midnight navy and a pastel sage shade.

Available in sizes 6-24, the for its wearability, with customers saying it ‘goes with everything’, from jeans to leather trousers and even midi dresses, making it one of your wardrobes' most hardworking styles.

The zip-up is cut to a relaxed fit with padding to lock in heat, making it great for the spring where a big coat is ‘too much’ but you still want to be warm. The ribbed neckline, cuffs and hem offer a laid-back look, but the ruching down the back and sleeves make it look that little bit more pricey, with shoppers agreeing it looks ‘more expensive’ than its £59 price tag.

Over the last few months, the style has amassed a from shoppers, with one commenting: “Love love love this jacket! It has elevated my casual outfits. Great with jeans, leather trousers etc. Could wear with dresses probs midi length. It’s nicely padded so warm for Autumn. I have the beautiful tan coloured jacket. I think it looks very on trend and far more expensive than it’s reasonable price tag. Know this jacket will be getting lots of wear so great investment. Thank you M&S.”

Another added: “Fab price, I bought the brown which is great for autumn. Lovely fit, goes with everything. I bought to pop on when going for my morning and evening walks. It is coveted by my 18yr daughter.”

“I have had loads of compliments about this jacket,” penned a third. “I would advise going down a size as it is very roomy. It has a very warm lining and the outer fabric and styling make it look more expensive.”

A fourth wrote: “Excellent, these jackets are fabulous...highly flattering, recommended.”

A number of shoppers have noted about the larger sizing, suggesting shoppers go down from their usual, depending on how they want it to fit, though some think the pockets could be improved, adding: “This jacket is amazing, it’s quite heavy so hangs really nicely, looks great with jeans or over a dress. I got size 10 which is my normal size and it’s perfect for me, slightly oversized. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars are the pocket flaps which mean it’s not so easy to slide your hands in. Overall great though and very good value.”

Given its previous sell-out success, the are expected to be in high demand. The buff, navy, and sage options are perfect for elevating your style as we transition into spring.

And though not specifically talking about the , Frankie Bridge has declared them ‘back’ on trend - though we don’t think they ever really went away. Styling a now sold-out grey wool-look bomber from River Island on Instagram, she said: “Bombers are back this season and with good reason! In my opinion they always give an outfit a cooler edge and I love how you can just throw it on with pretty much anything. Minimal effort, maximum style."

While Frankie’s exact jacket sold out after hitting the January sales at £15, M&S do actually have a very similar looking piece for £59 here. Elsewhere which was originally £50 and available in all sizes.

But it’s the that shoppers just can’t seem to stop talking about. In a recent Instagram video, influencer @courtney_wears showed off how to style it in a cool and laidback way with navy relaxed trousers, a striped tee, grey zip-up hoodie and £12 beanie (which we also love).

The trans-seasonal jacket works as well dressed down as it does glammed up, ideal for layering up in the colder months, or for throwing on in spring and summer for those chillier evenings, making it a must-have for anyone's wardrobe.
