Hollyoaks star pregnant with second baby less than two years after first child
Hollyoaks star Amy Maghera says she is excited - and a touch intimidated - to be pregnant a second time.
The 40-year-old soap actress has delighted fans by sharing the happy news that she is expecting her second child - just 18 months after she welcomed her daughter, Aurora. The actress and model has been married to Ethan Taub since August 2022 - with the couple expecting their daughter when they walked down the aisle together.
Now they are bracing themselves for a second bundle of joy - and Amy has admitted she is anxious about raising two small children that will be close in age. Taking to Instagram last week, the TV actress shared an ultrasound image - showing the outline of a tiny foot pressed against the image.
Sharing the scan results, Amy wrote: “Aghhhhh here we go again! The feet of my second babe... Erm if anyone has any advice with how to raise two kiddos so close in age please let me know... Let the madness continue! Wwhhhhhaaaattttttt!” She added a number of emojis including a little foot emoji and red hearts.

While Ashley Taylor Dawson, 42 - who has played Darren Osborne on Hollyoaks since 1999 and has three children himself - encouraged Amy to embrace being a mum of two young children at once, writing: “It’s the best way… pop em out, create your possy and take over!”
Amy played Neeta Kaur on Hollyoaks from 2015 until 2017. In the years since she has appeared in Casualty on the BBC in 2018 and also had a starring role in the Netflix film Skater Girl in 2021.
She announced her marriage to Ethan in August 2022 - which also acted as something of a pregnancy announcement. She shared a wedding snap with fans via Instagram and wrote: “So much to express! This time last week I married my best friend Ethan Taub!!! Here is a picture of the happiest day of my life, surrounded by our dearest family and friends. Inside me is also another little heartbeating.”
Amy shared her first look of her daughter in December 2022 as she uploaded a family snap of her and Ethan holding their baby. She wrote at the time: “What a year 2022 has been! Married my best friend and gave birth to my baby girl! So very grateful for this life and my support systems.”
