Ricky Hatton is used to suffering through a fair few knocks in his career, but it looks like he could be heading for a very early knockout.

Unfortunately for the 45-year-old boxer, he's already been deemed as the least likely to win Dancing On Ice after skating alongside the likes of former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas, Love Island winner Amber Davies and Eddie the Eagle. Upon landing in the skate-off last week, the odds certainly aren't in his favour.

Bookies have revealed his change of winning the ITV show are now a very tiny 66-1. “Sunday night was probably the knockout performance Ricky Hatton was hoping for as both him, and Stephen Mulhern took a tumble to the floor," Betfred showbiz specialist, Kayley Cornelius said. “While nerves may have gotten the best of Ricky, I thought the choreography itself was rather poor on Robin's part, so I feel the harsh score of 12.5 from the judges was rather deserving when you compare the routine to the rest of the competition.

“It’s only week one and competition is already proving to be tough with the likes of Ryan Thomas and Amber Davies already taking to the ice like naturals. With the performance being dubbed as the ‘worst in Dancing on Ice history’ since Gemma Collins’ infamous fall, it’s going to take some significant improvement from the pair to avoid elimination. As it currently stands, Ricky is at the bottom of Betfred’s list of favourites to win with 66/1 odds, which is less than 2%. So, If the couple struggle to bring their best to the skate-off, Hatton may be stumbling through the door home next."

Ricky previously admitted that he nearly quit the show before his debut as he had struggled so much in rehearsals that he had been tempted to ditch the show. "Robin [Johnstone] has seen me from where I started from, so has Torvill and Dean," Ricky told The Sun. "I nearly chucked the towel in to be honest."

In a pre-arranged skit, Ricky landed a blow on new presenter Stephen Mulhern, who admitted that it "hurt a lot". He said: "Ricky is one strong man, I asked him to punch me as a gag forgetting for a moment that he is a three time boxing world champion and yes it hurt, a lot!"
