Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid have bid a fond "goodbye" to their ITV Good Morning Britain co-star, who they say will be sorely "missed".

Their much-loved colleague, Nick Rylance, who is the head of film at ITV Daytime is leaving after a lengthy period on Good Morning Britain. Nick has also worked on Lorraine and Loose Women, and has built close bonds with the ITV stars.

TV presenter Ben, 49, took to social media to express his sadness that Nick was leaving the team. Alongside a photo of himself and Susanna posing next to Nick, Ben penned: "Just had a lovely breakfast celebration of one of our amazing team who's sadly leaving us. He will be missed by us all but fondly remembered. Thanks @daytimefilm as @reallorraine + @susannareid100 I'm sure will agree, you are 1 in a million."

After leaving ITV, UK-based publicity agency Organic has given Nick a warm welcome into their team, hiring for him the position of client partner. He will take up the newly created role next month, concentrating on client services and enhancing the agency's growth.

Organic's Managing Director Caragh Cook shared her excitement about the new hire, remarking: "The breadth of experience Nick brings, from a long and successful career at ITV, along with the respect he has earned from the film industry community, makes him a very exciting addition to our team as we grow Organic's capabilities and explore initiatives that keep us moving forward and evolving."

Nick is set to work closely with clients to enhance current services, develop new models and lead diversity and inclusion initiatives. Organic, established in 2006, has offices in London, LA and Sydney. Ben continues his role as GMB host, appearing on air with Susanna from 6am on January 18.

It comes after Ben recently expressed his condolences to Kate Garraway following the loss of her husband Derek Draper. "On what has been the saddest of days Kate Garraway, I've been reminding myself of the wonderful times and memories we have all shared together," he penned in a heartfelt post.

"This is how I'll always think of Derek bringing you so much joy, your smile says it all, the size of which is matched only by his love for you, Darcey and Bill. Sending all our love Kate to you and all the family. Also thank you to everyone who has reached out to me, I promise I will pass on your messages. I know they will bring Kate so much comfort as they have for the last few years."

Derek sadly passed away on January 5 at the age of 56, nearly four years after falling ill with Covid. Kate and Derek, a political adviser, tied the knot in 2005 and had two children, Darcey, 17, and Billy, 14.
