When you move into a new property, the possibility that you may get on really well with your neighbours may fill you with joy - but one woman was left flabbergasted at the people who had just moved in next to her.

Whether it's arguments over parking, bins, or noise complaints, there are so many reasons to fall out with your neighbour. But TikToker @bal_jeet_kaur was left chuckling to herself and wondering whether she should ask her neighbours to dry their laundry in their own garden, rather than using her fence.

In the 13-second clip, she explained her new neighbours were using her fence to dry clothes, and the items can be seen lined along it.

While some people claimed that it "does no harm", others joked that the items would be "coming off" the fence accidentally on purpose. With the video containing a clip of laughter, it seems as though the woman had seen the funny side of things, but others said they'd be fuming if someone hadn't introduced themselves and just started using their fence to dry their items.

"They should ask", someone fumed, but another suggested: "Best thing to do is not get frustrated but instead get to know your neighbour." Others offered advice, with one woman penning: "I would nicely say please don't put your clothes on my fence and depending on the response let them borrow my dryer."

One woman raged: "Oh no you will have to knock on their door and tell them that's not gonna work", but someone else was more neighbourly, writing: "Buy them a clothes line, that way they won't get wood chip in their clothes."

"Sharing is caring", one TikToker suggested, and someone kindly penned: "They probably don't have a dryer yet. Maybe offer them yours to use in the meantime?"
