If you can solve this mind-boggling quiz which determines if you will find eternal happiness, you are said to be really smart.

Whether you were a comprehension and literacy whizz at school, or it was your most dreaded subject, we can all remember sitting in class trying to identify significant features in sentences. So why not brush up on your skills and see if you can figure out the answer to this seemingly easy yet hard question?

Studies have proved that the more you exercise your brain by solving hard puzzles and brainteasers, the smarter you tend to be. This quiz challenges players to think on the spot and puts your quick decision making as well as sense of direction to the test.

The question involves two paths - one leading to eternal happiness, and the other leading to 'certain death' - your job is to ask just one question to people you pass along the way to help decide your fate.

The question is as follows: You are walking down a road and come to a fork. One path leads to certain death; the other leads to eternal happiness. You don't know which is which.

In the middle of the fork, you come across two brothers who know which road is which. One brother always tells the truth and the other always lies. You can only ask them one question.

How would you determine which road to take?

What answer did you get? Scroll down to find out the answer.

Answer

Ask each brother, "If you were your brother, which road would you say leads to eternal happiness?"

Let's say the path on the right leads to eternal happiness. After you ask your question, both brothers will tell you the exact same thing: "He would say the left path leads to eternal happiness."

As Reddit user OnscreenForecaster explained, "In either case ... you would pick the opposite of what they both say because one is telling the truth about it being a lie, and one is lying about it being the truth."
