King Charles' "true" feelings about his youngest son Prince Harry have been revealed amid claims the King has a "sense of exasperation" in regards to the situation.

Robert Hardman's new biography, which is titled Charles III: New King, New Court. The Inside Story, takes a look into the Monarch's life and relationships, with many revelations coming to light.

Within the tome, of white extracts have been shared by MailOnline, Mr Hardman claims that neither King Charles nor Harry's brother Prince William has read Spare, or ever will, but noted how they have been made aware of "the key points". This comes after the Duke of Sussex's memoir was published a year ago.

Mr Hardman also notes how King Charles was left "deeply hurt" by Harry's actions since departing the British Royal Family in 2020, but has learned to "compartmentalise" domestic trauma. Following Harry's departure from the Royal Family and he and wife Meghan moving across the pond, the couple have shared several bombshells in televised interviews, documentaries and books.

Also in the new book, Mr Hardman writes that a friend said: "He has done what he can and now he is King, there are many more things to think about."

However, he insists the door is always open to his youngest son, quoting a senior official who said: "You'd always like your child back."

According to a friend who is quoted in the book, the King "has tried listening" but now says: "I don't want to know what the problem is. I'm just getting on with my life".

There were hopes of a reconciliation between the Duke of Sussex and his father, but now it seems that this is further away than originally thought. The hopes of reconciliation were sparked by a "warm" conversation the Duke had over the phone with his father last November, which came amid chatter that the Sussexes wanted to attend Christmas in Sandringham.

But amid the reconciliation claims, the King reportedly feels "exasperated" by his young son, a friend is quoted in Mr Hardman's book: "Of course the King is extremely sad about Harry and Meghan but there is a sense of exasperation, that he has done what he can and now he is King, there are many more things to think about."
