Love Island host Maya Jama has made a dramatic entrance to the All Stars villa ahead of tonight's launch before she revealed a shock twist.
She greeted the hopefuls after strutting in shouting: “Oi Oi, hello All Stars,” then venturing out across the sprawling South African pad, joining the Islanders over at the fire pit. Maya then asked: “Obviously this is Love Island: All Stars so things have got to be a little bit different haven’t they. Well, I wonder who out of you fancies each other already? Boys come and stand with me.”
As Maya gathers the lads in front of the fire pit, she says: “Girlies, in a minute I am going to ask you to stand next to the boy that you fancy the most. It doesn’t matter if more than one of you stands next to the same boy but you have to make your decision right now. Off you go!” As the girls make their picks, it appears that one lucky boy proves to be particularly popular as he is chosen by three of the girls.
The host delivered a shock twist moments after meeting the All StarsBut all is not as it seems as Maya goes on to announce a surprise twist as she informs the Islanders of the public vote, saying: “The decision of who you couple up with is not down to any of you… it is down to the public. They have already voted for who will couple up with who and I will be back later tonight to reveal the results of the public vote.”
The host will be back to present the new season this evening and after a dramatic summer series, Love Island fans are super eager for the new batch of islanders to get stuck into the drama with old favourites such as Anton Danyluk, Jake Cornish, Demi Jones and Liberty Poole heading for South Africa. Georgia Harrison will also make her return.

The 29-year-old looked sensational as she stood in the famous heart walkway to the villa on Sunday as the host got fans in the mood for opening night. Maya wore a sheer white dress that featured a thigh-high slit and embroidered flowers. The TV star kept her long hair in gorgeous waves for the shoot. Maya has already teased jaw-dropping new looks as she presents the first ever All Stars series.
Speaking to The Mirror, Maya said: “I don’t want to make any promises but we have some really good looks [in the bag]. We try and keep consistent. I have a really great stylist. I don’t feel pressure but I’m also like let’s make sure they are a high level for the series. For the launch we did a fitting about a week in advance.
"I have enough looks for the whole series but I don’t know in what order yet. It depends on the vibe of the show. If it's dramatic it will be a black number, I'm going to flow with what happens. Touch wood I’ve never had a wardrobe malfunction on screen. No dress malfunctions of yet in life."
She added: “This is my fourth series but it’s mad it’s only been a year. I feel like I’ve been doing Love Island for ten because it goes so fast. I’m a lot more comfortable with it. At first, like any job, you feel scared and when there’s been good previous hosts you feel expectations but I’ve been allowed to be myself in this role and get comfortable with it. It’s been fun actually. It’s been my favourite job ever. I’ll stay for as long as it’s going.”
