EastEnders viewers are convinced Peter Beale is set for romance with another character, but not his ex Lauren Branning.
Despite a reunion being teased for exes Peter and Lauren for a while now, fans believe he will betray the mother of his child yet again in upcoming scenes. After already dragging her cousin intro drama, Penny Branning could be about to cause Lauren heartache once more too if viewers are correct.
Fans saw Peter and Penny bonding during the latest episode of the BBC soap, with Peter getting pretty drunk. Penny was working on impressing him after he refused to let Lauren and his son Louie move in with Penny, following the recent drug scandal.
Lauren was arrested at the airport after Penny hid drugs in her bag, before eventually she confessed they were hers. Peter was angry and also worried about his young son being around a dealer, so when Lauren revealed her plans to get a flat with her cousin he hit back.

But now fans think she will be betrayed by Penny and Peter who could end up embarking on a romance behind her back, after getting to know each other and seemingly flirting. How would Lauren react to her ex and her cousin possibly getting together?
Taking to X, one viewer said: "Peter & Penny will sleep together. Lauren will hit the roof." Another agreed: "Tell me Penny ain’t about to sleep with Peter!"

The comments kept on coming too, with viewers convinced that romance would happen between them, and that it would not end well for the pair and Lauren. A further comment read: "We all know that Peter and Penny will sleep together."
