Tesco shares UK's most popular meal deal choice - and it's quite surprising
Meal deals are so much more than the lunch you regularly enjoy, they also say a lot about you as a person according to some - and the likelihood is that you'll be shocked by the nation's favourite meal deal for 2023.
A staple of British culture that may confuse people not from the UK, choosing a sandwich, crisps, and a drink is a quick and easy thing to grab at lunchtime, and everybody has their personal favourite combinations.
Tesco has revealed what people's favourite meal deal combos were in 2023 in a nod to Spotify Wrapped, and many will be fuming that it hasn't actually changed since 2022.
The UK's favourite Tesco meal deal is unchanged from 2022 with Tesco Sausage Bacon & Egg Triple, McCoy's Flame Grilled Steak Grab Bag Crisps 45g, and Coca-Cola 500ml taking first place once again.
Whille Tesco Sausage Bacon & Egg Triple has topped the list overall as the nation's ultimate choice, that changes when looking at the festive period, where the Tesco Turkey & Trimmings Sandwich took over the coveted number one spot.

Looking across the year, the top main in the meal deal also changed depending on location. Those in Scotland were more likely to opt for Tesco Smoked Ham And Mature Cheddar Sub, whilst over in Northern Ireland the top spot went to the Tesco Chicken Bacon & Stuffing Sandwich.

In 2023, TikToker Joey Shaw said about the meal deal: "So Tesco Clubcard have released their end of year wrapped and I am genuinely shocked by what the top most popular meal deal is in this country. After showing the top three, he said: "What in the '50-year-old man' is going on here? What in the 'builder', the 'truck driver' am I looking at?".
Others labelled the meal deal as "actually outrageous", with another penning: "I honestly don't think I've bought any of those items in a meal deal ever."
