Aldi shopper's 'mind-blown' by new aisle feature that few people have noticed
Shoppers are rushing to Aldi after a man shared a "mind-blowing" new feature in the chain's aisles that many people haven't noticed before.
Oliver Lowe was left stunned when he visited the bargain supermarket recently and realised the way staff price up products has completely changed. He took to social media to share his findings, with most other shoppings admitting they hadn't noticed either.
In the TikTok video, he explains that he always thought prices were displayed on pieces of paper behind a laminate card. However, on closer inspection he noticed that the chain has upgraded their systems. In the video, he says he "literally could not believe it" when he identified that the labels many of us read every week are actually "mini TVs". Aldi shoppers say they "never knew that" and insist "we must check this out".
Oliver said: "I'm in Aldi and I don't know if I'm the only person who has just discovered this but I feel like I can't be. Does everyone know that the signs in Aldi aren't paper but they're actually screens - they're like mini TVs.
"Every single sign you see in Aldi isn't paper that has been put on a label and printed out anymore, they're all screens. My mind is blown wide open. I literally cannot believe it.

"It's a whole new world out there, it's incredible." More than 500 people shared their thoughts on the revealing video. She said: "I'm literally going to have to go to Aldi tomorrow there's no way this is real oh my god."
"I only realised when one started glitching," said another. One other added: "I figured this out when I saw one flickering on one of the fridges - I was so baffled."
"Imagine how many labels they'd have to print to keep updating the middle aisle of randomness," said another. One Aldi worker responded to the video said: "I currently work for them. They are electronic price cards. It’s so that any price changes are changed automatically. It saves the bosses walking. To blow brains even more…they don’t even need charging.
"They have a battery that lasts for years and years, so no charging they simply just die." A former ex worker added: "I used to work in Aldi. It's paperless and it's more convenient! So easy to change prices instead of having to print."
