Halle Bailey has confirmed the birth of her first child after hiding her secret pregnancy for months as speculation spiralled around the star.
The 23-year-old Atlanta-born actress, who plays the role of Princess Ariel in the live-action remake of the Disney classic, took to Instagram last night to introduce the world to her newborn son Halo.
Sharing a sweet snap, the beloved actress could be seen holding onto baby Halo's hand. The name was unveiled with the gold bracelet the tot wore on his wrist, with the word 'Halo' engraved on it.

Fans of the star were quick to comment on the sweet post welcoming Halo into the world. One person penned: "Congrats Halle! Welcome to the world baby Halo we so are happy you're here!!!!" Another then added: "Love that you kept something personal for your family. Congrats!!!!!!"
Halle welcomed Halo with her boyfriend musician Darryl Dwayne Grandberry Jr. who is widely known as DDG. The couple have been together for about a year and a half.

Halle is best known for portraying Ariel in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid (Instagram)Fans started suspecting that the couple were expecting many months ago when Halle was seen stepping out in baggy outfits. Then, last year at the MTV Video Music Awards she sparked rumours even more when she donned a very loose-fitting orange dress.
At the time, a source told a US news site that Halle's orange dress flow "was an indicator she was trying to hide".
Last year, before any pregnancy speculation, Halle left fans feeling "disappointed" after sharing a controversial Instagram post. Sharing a series of snaps from her travels, Halle could be seen posing for photos with a selection of exotic animals, with many fans claiming that she was at Safari World in Bangkok.
The animal attraction in question has been under scrutiny for years because of their alleged poor treatment of animals. Fans were fuming at the star, with nonprofit organisation PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) even wading in.
