Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been urged to "do something positive" as they "struggle to compete" with the Prince and Princess of Wales in America.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior working royals in 2020. They then moved to Montecito, California, and set up lives for themselves and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Since moving across the pond, the couple has worked with huge companies like Netflix, Spotify, and Penguin Random House to release various projects such as documentaries and memoirs. Their projects have often hit headlines and been met with backlash.

And now, it has been claimed that the Sussexes are "struggling" to compete with the Waleses with American audiences, despite the former residing in the States and the latter not. According to The Express, royal commentator Phil Dampier said: "I think the penny has finally dropped with them [the Sussexes] that they can never compete with an ancient institution admired around the world, particularly the goodwill still lingering from the late Queen’s reign.

"William and Kate have never been more popular, and the Sussexes can’t hold a candle to them.

"Even in America, people are fed up with their constant moaning and want them to do something positive. Just turning up at the occasional charity event or being seen at concerts and baseball games isn't enough," he went on.

This comes after we reported that PR expert Mark Borkowski said that the Sussexes need to do something "positive". He said: "2024 is a pivotal year for them. They need to do something to recover and find a new positive tactic because what they're doing is clearly not working."

Mark is also said to have given some advice to the couple, with him revealing the one thing that they can do to make sure 2024 is a better year. The PR guru said: "One thing is clear: Harry and Meghan can't have another year of taking swipes and talking about issues which don't resonate. It's time to build something more positive."
