Maya Jama unveils huge rule change for Love Island All Stars contestants
Maya Jama spilled the beans on the upcoming series of Love Island All Stars during her time on the This Morning sofa today.
The presenter, 29, joined hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on this week's final edition of the ITV programme ahead of the latest installment of Love Island hitting our screens later this month.
During her time on This Morning, Maya teased viewers with some hints regarding just which former islanders will be appearing on All Stars, discussed her planned outfits for the live shows and revealed one major rule change ITV bosses have implemented for the special edition of the long-running dating series.
Past bombshells and iconic islanders will enjoy a second - or possibly third - stint on the reality TV show when Love Island All Stars 2024 kicks off on Monday 15 January at 9pm.
Maya Jama let slip a Love Island rule change on This Morning today (ITV)Speaking on This Morning today, Maya confirmed the All Stars line-up is made up of contestants from the first ever series of the ITV2 show all the way through to stars that enjoyed a stint in the Spanish villa just a few months ago - teasing it will be a good mix of "some in their thirties, some in their mid twenties."

"I feel like it will have a lot more drama," Maya mused, as she pointed out the former islanders will know exactly what makes for good television during their second appearance on the show. The glamourous TV host then went on to tell Alison and Dermot how she and her stylist have some "strong looks" ready for her visits to the villa.
The Bristol born babe then revealed how Love Island All Stars will be very different compared to the last two series of the ITV2 series, confirmed the old islanders will be able to retain their social media accounts and allow their loved ones to post on their behalf during their time in the South African villa.
This change follows ITV bosses banning Love Island stars from handing their Instagram passwords over to friends and family ahead of Maya's presenting debut in January last year, in a bid to prevent the reality TV stars' accounts being flooded with online abuse and comments from trolls.
ITV introduced the ban on contestants' friends and family managing their social media accounts to shield them from the "adverse effects of social media". Islanders have also received guidance on respectful behaviour in relationships before entering the villa since the 2023 winter series.
In previous series, contestants couldn't post from inside the villa, leaving their loved ones to handle any online trolling. Faye Winter, who appeared on the show in 2020, commended ITV for its "brilliant welfare and counselling support". However, her sister Jo, who managed her social media account, revealed: "Faye did get quite a bit of trolling, but between me and her team we were able to use blocked words."
Paige Turley, who won the first Winter Love Island series with her then boyfriend Finn Tapp, said running the social media accounts of a relative who was on the show was an "emotional rollercoaster". She welcomed ITV's ban, saying it will give the contestants' loved ones an "easier time".
