Meghan Markle "tried to set up a meeting" with King Charles to discuss why she and Prince Harry have to follow "different rules" to the Royal Family.
The couple stepped back from The Firm in 2020 and have since worked hard to become financially independent. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a lucrative partnership with Netflix and also signed a four-book deal with publisher Penguin Random House.
However, the royals were said to be annoyed when Harry and Meghan spoke out about their time in the Royal Family. It was reported that the trust was broken with the family, but royal expert Neil Sean claims Meghan has demanded answers as to why some Royal Family members are allowed to speak about life in The Firm.

She tried to set up a meeting with him, she sent him a letter and wanted a one-to-one to explain exactly the problems she's encountered ever since becoming a member of the British monarchy," the commentator said on his YouTube channel.

Neil added: "The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show This Morning, Loose Women and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the Royal Family. Meghan and Harry seemingly don't understand why it's a different rule for her."
When Meghan and Harry released their Netflix docuseries, titled Harry & Meghan, they made headlines around the world as they hit out at the Royal Family. In the show, Harry detailed the breakdown of his relationship with his brother Prince William and claimed he left him terrified after he screamed and shouted at him during the Sandringham summit.

The Sussexes relationship with the Royal Family was then made worse when Harry released his debut memoir Spare. The book saw Harry hit out at his brother Prince William, stepmother Queen Elizabeth and his father King Charles.
In Spare, Harry claimed Camilla leaked stories to the press about William and talked about how he and William begged their father not to marry her. The Duke of Sussex also claimed his father used to make cruel jokes at his expense.
