Luke Littler's girlfriend, Eloise Milburn, was left visibly heartbroken after the teen lost the World Darts Championship final 7-4 to Luke Humphries.

Eloise, who is a 21-year-old darts enthusiast was caught on camera wiping tears from her eyes as her boyfriend's dreams of victory were dashed. Littler had been leading 4-2 but Humphries made a stunning comeback in the thrilling final at Ally Pally. Eloise has been a strong supporter of Littler throughout the tournament, cheering him on alongside his family.

The couple shared a passionate kiss after Littler's quarter-final win over Brendan Dolan. After securing his place in the semi-finals, Eloise expressed her pride on Instagram, writing: 'The dream carries on."

Their love story is unique, having bonded over a shared love of darts and FIFA. Despite living 200 miles apart, they've been dating for six weeks after their relationship blossomed on Xbox. Eloise, an amateur darts player herself, represents the Surrey Women's darts team and plays at the Walton Working Men's Club near her home.

A friend told MailOnline: "Eloise loves playing darts and FIFA and so does Luke and they've got a lot in common. They started speaking on Xbox and things just developed from there. She's a great girl and is a very decent darts and FIFA player herself so you could say that they make the perfect couple because Luke is also very passionate about both things. She's very proud of his achievements and is supporting him all the way."

However, fans of the 16-year-old darts pro have targeted his girlfriend due to their age gap. Eloise is over five years older than Luke and ever since their relationship hit the headlines, Eloise has faced cruel online trolling - but her mum has furiously defended their romance.

Eloise’s mum Amanda Milburn has hit back at claims her daughter is a “money grabber” and cruel jibes about the five-year age gap between Eloise and Luke, who will turn 17 on January 21.

Claiming “Eloise has been accused of all sorts”, mum Amanda denied her daughter was only with Luke for his money and fame and branded the comments a “total pack of disgusting lies”.

The pair have been dating for a few months

Amanda told the Daily Mail : “There’s been a lot of horrible stuff being posted online about my daughter and my husband Phil and I are very angry about it. She’s not with him for any of these reasons. She doesn’t care about his money or his fame, she’s with him because she likes him. It’s as simple as that.

"It’s really hurtful when we read these comments, many of them from so-called darts fans. My daughter is none of these things that these vile people are making out. She’s a lovely young girl who is in a new relationship and people should allow them to get on with things.”

Eloise lives with her parents Phil and Amanda. She used to work as a beauty consultant and behind the bar at Hersham Golf Club. The nation has fallen in love with her romance with Littler, due to their humble nature.

Despite missing out on the £500,000 first prize, Eloise's boyfriend is now £200,000 richer after finishing as runner-up. After reaching the quarter-finals, Littler shared what he planned to spend his winnings on.

"I always treat myself to some Under Armour tracksuits," he told the Daily Telegraph. "And just get myself a new coat and get myself some FIFA points for my Xbox. That's pretty much it."

After losing out on the winning title, Littler said of his opponent: "The one negative was I lost too many legs on my throw, so Luke would break me, then hold and I'd be 2-0 down [in the set]. "Fair play to Luke, he deserves it. I've got to the final, I might not get to another final for the next five to 10 years, we don't know, but I can say I'm a runner-up and now I just want to go and win it," he told Sky Sports.
