The Traitors contestant Mollie Pearce has proudly shared her two disabilities ahead of appearing on the BBC show.

The hit series is back for a second time as a group heads to the Scottish Highlands to play the intense game of lying and loyalty in a battle to take home the jackpot of £120,000. 22 contestants will be split into two teams named The Traitors and The Faithfuls and have to vote for a contestant to be sent home each day.

Among those competing in the hotly anticipated series two of The Traitors is Mollie, a 21-year-old model from Bristol. Ahead of her appearance on Wednesday night, Mollie proudly showed off her stoma bag. She was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis when she was 11 years old. It resulted in her having surgery to remove her colon in 2020 leaving her with a stoma bag.

Mollie has also shared that she was born with a limb difference on her right hand. She uses social media to raise awareness and normalise disabilities. Taking to social media back in October, Mollie marked three years of having her stoma bag. She posted a photo of herself next to a pink number 3 balloon and her stoma bag on show.

Mollie wrote: "Happy 3-year stoma-versary Sid. Thanks for giving me my life back." A stoma is made to divert the flow of urine and faeces. According to the NHS, a colostomy is an operation to divert one end of the colon through an opening in the tummy. The opening is called a stoma and a pouch can be placed over the stoma to collect stools. It can be permanent or temporary.

She is hoping that looking "innocent" and young will help her if she becomes a Traitor. The healthcare assistant believes she will be "quite good at building that relationship but also separating myself in a way which I feel like will be really good in the game".

The series will kick off on Wednesday, January 3 at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. In a statement, the national broadcaster said: "In this nail-biting psychological reality competition, Claudia Winkleman greets 22 strangers as they arrive at a beautiful castle in the Scottish Highlands to play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning up to £120,000.

"But hidden amongst them are The Traitors whose job is to secretly murder a player every night, without getting caught. It's up to the others, the Faithfuls, to try to detect who the traitors are, and banish them from the game, before they become their next victim. For the lucky ones who survive to the end, they have the chance of winning that life-changing cash. But if a Traitor remains undetected, they'll steal all the money. The Traitors will launch early 2024."

Claudia recently revealed how she was left visibly shaken during a round table in the new offering of the BBC series. "It definitely gets extremely tense, it did in the first series too but there’s one round table in this episode when I came out shaking," Claudia told the Mirror in December.

She also opened up on the new line-up ahead of the names being unveiled. Claudia said: "They are all excellent. They come having seen the first series so are more quick to suspect but they all play a brilliant game. I wish I could say more but I'll be fired. [Watching the last series] definitely gave them some tips and you can see some arrive and play the game immediately. But the game itself is so strong that however prepared you think you are, you're not."
