One of This Morning's most loved stars has revealed that he's been offered to take part in Celebrity Big Brother.

The legendary series will return in 2024 after six years off air with a slew of stars rumoured for the ITV house in the revamped series. ITV are yet to reveal just which stars have signed on the dotted line and will be heading into the famous house, but that hasn't stopped speculation and bookies predicting which famous faces will be following in the footsteps of the likes of Gemma Collins, Les Dennis and Jedward.

Talking about the rumoured line-up on Tuesday's This Morning, which includes the likes of Louis Walsh, host Josie Gibson, who won Big Brother in 2010, asked Gyles Brandreth, 75: "Would you sign up?" to which he admitted: "Well, I have been asked, yes, I have been asked but I say no to these things!" although he didn't specify if it was a past series or the new season.

Elsewhere, host Rylan Clark, who won Celebrity Big Brother back in 2013, said of Louis Walsh being rumoured for Celebrity Big Brother, who he met when he appeared on The X Factor in 2012: "As a friend of Louis, I'd be like: 'Don't do it!' but as a viewer I think: 'You'd be great in there!' It's like that split decision of what can I say to him? But I think he would be a great housemate!"

Other names rumoured to be on the Celebrity Big Brother line-up include Katie Price, American star Trisha Paytas, The Apprentice star Ryan-Mark Parsons, Jedward, Love Island stars Tommy Fury and Maura Higgins, comedian Mo Gilligan, EastEnders actress Linda Henry and Geordie Shore star Nathan Henry.

It comes as ITV announced in 2023: "Celebrity Big Brother will see a new cast of famous faces isolated from the outside world as they embark on the ultimate social experiment, taking up residence in the iconic Big Brother house.

"Leaving luxury behind, the celebrities will take part in weekly nominations and tough tasks with cameras capturing their every move. Who will win the hearts of the nation, go all the way to the finish line and be crowned the winner?"

No official start date for the new series has been announced but it is thought ITV will air its first edition of Celebrity Big Brother during the first few months of 2024. During its time on Channel 4 and Channel 5, the star-studded series would usually hit television screens between January and March.
