The Masked Singer UK fans think they have rumbled Cricket's identity after spotting a slew of 'clever clues'.
The show returned on Saturday night, with panellists Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan, and guest judge Charlie Simpson. Confirmed for the latest lineup are Cricket, Weather, Marypole, Bigfoot, Egg and Rat. Also taking part are Air Fryer, Bubble Tea, Owl, Piranha, Eiffel Tower and Chicken Caesar.
One of the first characters to take to the stage on Saturday was Cricket, who went up against Maypole. As their song came to an end, fans were quick to declare they had rumbled the character's identity. During a VT before performing, Cricket spoke about being a 'big hitter', adding: "My scores aren't just about cricket..."
Taking to social media, viewers were quick to share their theories, predicting Cricket could be Blue star Simon Webbe. One person said: "Take note guys, there is a former Cricketer called Simon Webb! Therefore cricket is Simon Webbe! #TheMaskedSingerUK", a different account put: "#MaskedSingerUK cricket is Simon Webbe off've Blue surely?!" while another added: "Cricket = Simon Webbe #MaskedSingerUK."

Cricket sounds like Simon Webbe! !#MaskedSingerUK" as Simon did appear on Strictly's Christmas Special back in 2011.

However, other viewers had no idea who was under the costume, and took to X to share their observations. One fan said: "Those clues did nothing to help me." Another agreed: "I'm struggling, but he's got a cracking voice," as a third added: "Yeah another one i have no clue. This year is already hard."
It remains to be seen who is behind Cricket but the first character was unmasked on Saturday night with Weather revealed as Dionne Warwick. Music icon Dionne left the panel starstruck as she unveiled herself as the star under the costume. She then shared her joy at being asked to do the series, but admitted the struggles she faced trying to disguise her voice on the show.
It comes as Joel Dommett couldn’t wait for the show to start and previously said: "Honestly, they are the best costumes ever. If they don’t make you smile, well, get out! Air Fryer is unbelievably silly. It's so liberating to be a part of a show where first of all, people really enjoy it and also from my point of view, any idea I have, it's fair game. Even when it comes to the suits!
"I think we've definitely got some of the best vocalists we've ever had on the show and we've had some really incredible ones in the past. The show goes through an interesting meandering of, we are all here for all the new characters, but then maybe the better singers start to get through in the last rounds, usually the final. Let's be honest, it’s usually really incredible singers left at that point. This year I really do feel like we've got some of the best we've ever had."
