Meghan's New Year pledge to give up 'unladylike' habit - but she failed
We all have New Year's resolutions that we make and then fail to stick to - just ask Meghan Markle.
The former actress once admitted that she makes the same resolutions every year but struggles to keep them, especially after she has had a "few drinks". Meghan made the confession on her blog The Tig in January 2016 - just months before she met her future husband Prince Harry. And she described some of the habits she'd like to give up as "unladylike".
She wrote: "Run a marathon. Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. Re-learn French. These make my New Year’s resolution list nearly (AKA actually every) single year. The marathon hasn't happened. The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple of drinks.

I have put my little Rosetta Stone headset in my eager ears every year, resolving to do interviews en français, but much to my chagrin, it hasn't stuck.
"And when it comes to the biting of the nails – well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It's unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit."

She added: "For this new year, the only thing I aim to do is to approach life playfully. To laugh and enjoy, to keep my standards high but my level of self-acceptance higher.
"My New Year's resolution is to leave room for magic. To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break. To set my goals, but to be open to change."
It is unknown exactly what 2024 will have in store for Meghan but she teased what she has been working on during a red carpet appearance in November. Her and Prince Harry's production company, Archewell Productions, has had a hand in creating two documentary series for Netflix.
Both projects offered raw looks into their subjects' lives. Meghan teased future projects, insinuating they'll have a similar tone.
"Things that make people feel– I was going say ‘good,’ but it’s more than that, things that make people feel something, right?” she said, “And feel a sense of community. But we have so many exciting things on the slate. I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it, too. It’s really fun.”
