Meghan wrote letter to the King amid royal rules confusion and double standards
Meghan Markle is said to have written a letter to King Charles about the "different rules" she had to follow as a royal, in comparison to the rules of other members of the family.
The Duchess of Sussex married into the British Royal Family in May 2018. Before becoming Prince Harry's wife, Meghan retired from acting - she played the role of Rachel Zane in US legal drama Suits - and quit her successful lifestyle blog The Tig.

Meghan Markle is said to have written to the King to get clarity on the rules (Getty Images)But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to step down as senior working royals in 2020, with them then moving to Montecito, California in the United States. Since taking a step back from the Royal Family, the couple have worked on projects with Netflix, Spotify, and Penguin Random House.
And now royal commentator Neil Sean has spoken about why the Sussexes "don't understand why" the rules within the Royal Family are different for them compared to others. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Mr Sean said: "Meghan Markle wants some answers from His Majesty the King."

He went on: "She tried to set up a meeting with him, she sent him a letter and wanted a one-to-one to explain exactly the problems she's encountered ever since becoming a member of the British monarchy."
"The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show This Morning, Loose Women and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the Royal Family.
"Meghan and Harry seemingly don't understand why it's a different rule for her."
This comes amid reports that Meghan is poised for a huge comeback this year. According to The Royal Observer, astrologer Susan Miller has said that Meghan "craves" a return to acting.
She told the outlet: "Meghan wants to go back to acting ... I don’t think the [Netflix] business plan of creating movies is the way it's going to go. I think she will go back to work."
In November, Meghan declared that she and her husband have many “exciting things” on the slate amid their Netflix deal. Speaking at a gala in LA at the time, she said: "I can’t wait until we can announce them/ But I’m just really proud of what we are creating. My husband is loving it too, which is really fun."
