Terry's Chocolate Orange fans 'mind-blown' after realising real use for plastic

Terry's Chocolate Orange is a staple for many at Christmas time.

They've been around for years, and whilst some may think chocolate presented like segments of an orange is a gimmick, others love them. However, despite having eaten the chocolate for years, even the most loyal fans of the chocolate are learning a new "secret" about the packaging. You probably have a Terry's Chocolate Orange lying about from Christmas, or at least the packaging in the recycling pile, so you might want to grab it and have a look.

A man discovered how the packaging can be jiggled around and manoeuvred into a display prop for the Terry's Chocolate Orange. The small but highly pleasurable discovery will make eating the chocolate even more enjoyable.

Neil Adam rushed to TikTok to show off his discovery on his since-deleted account @michael_adams1138 - and once you see if you will be stunned. At the time of posting, he boasted to his almost 3,000 followers about the "Chocolate Orange display" he had discovered, and people were just as excited as he was.

In the video, Neil can be seen opening the iconic blue and orange packaging and then pulling out the bit of plastic, which many Terry's Chocolate Orange lovers have more than likely thrown away in the past. However, the packaging can actually enhance your experience.

The bit of plastic is very useful and can be manoeuvred into a display, where the Terry's Chocolate Orange can be set upon like a throne. Taking out the piece of plastic, the TikToker folded either side of the plastic to create a stand.

Speaking in the video Neil said: "I was today years old when I discovered this hack."

There will be no more folding and unfolding the orange wrapping of the chocolate or digging into the box each time you want a perfectly segmented slice of chocolate. Now you can simply pluck a segment from the chocolate display stand provided with the chocolate - an elite upgrade to consuming Terry's Chocolate Orange.

Neil agreed, adding, "Nom, nom, nom," as he grabbed a segment to eat. His followers were also blown away, with many admitting they had only just discovered the hack alongside Neil. One person admitted they had been unaware of the hack for 50 years.

Whilst another person wasn’t pleased about the timing of the hack being revealed, they said: "Could've done with this before Christmas! it's gonna be 12 months before I eat another chocolate orange and what're the chances of me remembering?"

A third person said they had felt "cheated" by not knowing this for years. Many more TikTok commenters branded Neil a "genius"
