A Premier League player is being investigated by the police after allegedly racially abusing a staff member at a luxury block of flats while drunk.
A concierge, who was born in England to Senegalese-Gambian parents, has alleged that the star turned up at the flats in the early hours of the morning on December 10 smelling like alcohol. The 50-year-old worker claimed that, after growing agitated with his actions and demanding his key, the conversation allegedly turned aggressive.
“He started losing his temper, telling me to give him the ‘f***ing key’,” the alleged victim told The Sun. “Then he called me a ‘c***’. I told him, ‘Wait a few minutes and my colleague will be back. He has access to the keys.’
“Then he was swearing more at me and said, ‘Give me the key, you f***ing n*****.’ I draw the line at that. I was appalled and disgusted. I said to him, ‘I will not tolerate that. Do not use that word towards me.’
“He was shouting at me, ‘Do you know who I f***ing am? You will never work here again.’ He said the N-word again.”

The alleged victim, who was working as a temp at the time, said he did not know who the player was because he does not follow football. The alleged incident reportedly left the worker feeling shocked and sick.
In a statement the Met Police said: “On December 13, a 50-year-old man contacted police to report he had been racially abused by another man as he worked as a concierge. There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.”
The player’s club said: “It would be inappropriate to comment until the matter has been investigated fully by police.” The player in question is understood to deny the allegations.
