A wedding singer has been brutally shamed for the dress she wore to sing at a couple’s nuptials, with viewers calling the gown “inappropriate” and that she looks like a “stripper”.
Singer Ortal Edri posted her incredible rendition of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion on TikTok, which now has more than 5.7 million views. The performance, which seemed to take place at either the reception or ceremony of a spectacular wedding, was breathtaking and Edri admitted she even shed a couple of tears when the bride and groom made their entrance.
Edri captioned her video: “I am always moved to tears when I sing the entrance song at weddings.” For her performance, Edri chose a fitted black dress with tiny off-the-shoulder diamonte straps and a slit up the front.

However, rather than concentrate on her powerful voice or moving show, viewers couldn’t help but focus on her outfit and rushed to share their opinions.

One comment, which has 15,900 likes, read: “Remind me to have wardrobe approval for my wedding band singers lol.” While someone else added: “it’s a bit inappropriate for a wedding, you the wedding singer not stripper.” And a third rudely penned: “She does look stunning but her vagina is also almost out which a lot of people would probably be uncomfortable with at their wedding.”
However, lots of people left messages of support for Edri. One person replied: “People judge so much the dress is fine.” Another user added: “this is actual talent, but of course people always worry about the way the person looks instead of the actual talent.” And a third person gushed: “Forget the rest of the wedding she’s the main character here!!”
Last month a groom named Cody went viral after his wedding videographer shared a clip of his distasteful vows to his bride Kaitlin. “FELLAS, this is your sign to go write those vows… now,” the video’s caption read, as the TikTok began after the bride had read her vows and her soon-to-be-spouse was asked to say his.
The groom, Cody, can be seen looking a little nervous as he launches into his vows. Glancing at his soon-to-be wife and the officiant, he then says in front of the crowd: “I promise to smack that a** every chance I get.” With both the groom and some guests laughing nervously at the comment, the officiant is then heard asking him if he’d like to continue.
“That’s all I got,” he replied. The officiant asked him again: “Is that it?” “Yeah,” he said. In the video a voice can be heard from the audience, urging him: “C’mon Cody, are you sure?” “I didn’t write nothin’ out,” he admits before the officiant says incredulously: “That’s what you’re going out with?”
