A mum has received sympathy from people online after she said her husband and kids failed to buy her a single Christmas present.
We all know that Christmas isn't about presents, but getting your loved ones a thoughtful gift at this time of year lets them know you appreciate them. The gift side of Christmas is usually centred around young children and the magic of Father Christmas, but many adults look forward to seeing what's under the tree for them on the big day too.
This is why when one mum woke up on Christmas morning to find absolutely no presents for her, she was devastated. Mary Yang said she spent "months" organising Christmas for her family and buying presents for her husband and their kids, but she received nothing in return.

Many people rallied around her to share their support (@missmear/TikTok)In a video posted to her @missmear account on TikTok, Mary wrote: "I know I'm not the only mum who woke up Christmas morning with not a single present under the tree for them as you watched your kids and husband unwrap the presents you spent all month stressing over."
Mary's video quickly went viral when it was posted last year, and many TikTok users asked for an explanation, as they couldn't believe the mum had really been left with no presents on Christmas Day. But in a follow-up video, she clarified that while she understands that her "kids come first", it still hurt her that her husband had made no effort.

She added: "I am so happy to see all of the positive and uplifting comments that a lot of you guys left on my last video. It really sucks that for most of us that it's so normal but we also know that as a mum our kids come first.
"It was such a big deal to me that my husband didn't get me anything for Christmas this year. We've been married for seven years and been together for almost ten and my husband has never really got me anything for any occasion. Of course, I've mentioned it to him that it bugs me but after having kids I try to just focus on my kids and make it about them."
Commenters on the videos flooded Mary with kind words as they sent their sympathies to the heartbroken mum, with some saying they had experienced the same thing.
One person wrote: "Thank you for this post. I felt less alone in the world," while a second sympathised: "Worst feeling in the world. Feeling unseen, unimportant, and undervalued," and a third posted: "My nephew noticed and asked why Santa didn't bring me anything while the family all sat in silence with laps full of gifts."
"Absolutely hit nail on the head. I'm exhausted, while everyone waits for me to provide CHRISTMAS! I cried this morning," someone commented, as someone else responded: "I feel this today. So I went online and ordered a new LV purse. I'll explain this to him when it arrives."
