Emmerdale has released a first look glimpse at its Christmas Day episode, where tension and bombshells are teased in the Yorkshire village.
In the spoiler clip, it starts with a wholesome scene of the festive village as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas plays over the top. However, it's not long until tensions are teased as Marlon Dingle is seen looking exasperated outside amid wife Rhona Goskirk's ex-husband Gus coming to stay.
It then shows Chas Dingle outside with ex Paddy Kirk, their daughter Eve and Mandy Dingle to which Chas' son, Aaron Dingle, arrives in the village via taxi as the two share a frosty exchange amid their ongoing feud. Next up in the clip, Tracy Metcalfe prepares for Christmas with her family to which she receives a text from secret lover, Caleb Milligan, saying: "Can't wait to see you later."

In the upcoming scenes, Tracy and Caleb find their affair rumbled. During the festive episode, Christmas at Butlers is underway and it’s not long before Caleb and Tracy share a charged moment alone. Only recently, Caleb and Tracy have embarked in a shock affair despite the latter being newly married to Nate, whose uncle is Caleb.
In the upcoming scenes, Tracy stays behind to look after the kids after everyone has left. Offering to stay back with her, Caleb and Tracy get the alone time they were after. However, it's not long before Tracy and Caleb are caught in the act by someone... who is it and is this the end of Tracy's marriage?

Elsewhere, Marlon reaches breaking point with Gus and storms off. Soap watchers will recall that Gus showed up in the village earlier this year, asking ex Rhona for her help. He revealed to her that he was in a new relationship and wanted to have kids with his new partner, Lucy, but they weren't able to.
He said he had kept the embryos they had frozen while together and wanted to use them but needed her permission, as she was the other parent of the embryo. Rhona was left floored as she believed the embryos had been destroyed and after meeting Lucy, contemplated letting them use the embryos before changing her mind.
Marlon reaches breaking point with Gus and storms off (ITV)However, things took a dramatic turn last month when Rhona discovered that Lucy was heavily pregnant and Gus had used their embryos without Rhona's consent, even stealing the latter's passport to forge documents and fake her consent.
Things took another devastating turn when Rhona confronted the pair with Lucy going into labour early. Later, in the hospital, it was revealed that Lucy had died while giving birth due to complications and the baby girl, Ivy, was in intensive care. Rhona's mother, Mary Goskirk, has recently let Gus and Ivy stay with them as the grieving new dad was struggling alone.
However, Marlon struggles on Christmas Day with their new house guests and it's only when best friend Paddy reminds him that Gus is grieving to which they try to save Christmas. Later, Gus is taken aback by the incredible dinner Marlon has whipped up. Raising an emotional toast to loved ones, Christmas is back on track.
Also, Emmerdale will continue to air the fallout to Mack Boyd being held hostage by Chloe's dad, Damon, who also goes by the name Harry, after he attempted to escape on Friday's episode.
