Two EastEnders Christmas victims 'ruled out' as fans spot missed clue

EastEnders may have ruled out two possible Christmas death victims in scenes way back in February.

In a very telling clue no doubt overlooked by most of us, the episode of the lock-in that led to the flashforward clip of the Christmas Day murder possibly hinted at who could be dead by the end of the year. A comment made by one of The Six, the six female characters who are the current suspects, could reveal two of the seven potential victims will survive.

Next week, a murder will take place at The Queen Vic while the identity of the victim is not yet known. At the scene of the crime are Kathy Beale, Denise Fox, Sharon Watts, Linda Carter, Stacey Slater and Suki Panesar.

As for the victims, it's Keanu Taylor, Dean Wicks, Rocky Cotton, Ravi Gulati, Jack Branning, Phil Mitchell and Nish Panesar facing the chop. But perhaps two of these names needn't worry about facing death this Christmas Day, after fans have recalled a missed clue from the original flashforward episode.

Something said just before everything changed "in a flash" and the clip of Christmas Day was aired, the ladies made a toast to the bad men in their lives. All six of them were ranting drunkenly about the men who had wronged them, wanting payback.

It's then that Sharon said out loud: "To men. May they get what they deserve." The ladies then all repeated this and shouted: "Cheers!" before raising a toast. Of course the next thing we saw was the death flashforward - so who gets what they deserve?

Considering this sentence, viewers now think it is safe to rule out at least two victims from the list, after recent goings on. Fans have scanned the names tipped to be the victim, and questioned whether two of them "deserve" to die.

Given some of the men have committed actual crimes and deserve to face justice, some viewers believe there are two men that actually have not committed a crime, and probably don't deserve to be the body on the floor this Christmas. That said, are any of the crimes committed by most of the men deserving of them being killed?

The two people fans are sure will be ruled out are Phil and Jack. Both Phil and Jack's only real crime this year is keeping secrets and both of them have had affairs with different women in Walford. Jack recently cheated on wife Denise with Stacey, while Phil cheated on partner Kat Slater with Lola Pearce's mother Emma Harding.

Meanwhile you've got Nish who is a killer as well as a controlling, abusive husband. His son Ravi is also a killer and has threatened to murder Eve Unwin, while Keanu plotted to fleece Sharon, and even staged a kidnap involving their son Albie - who, it turns out, is actually Phil's son.

Dean got away with raping Linda in 2014, and recently he returned and soon began terrorising her, not to mention recording her giving a fake confession claiming it was not rape. Finally there is Rocky, who has gambled away all of his and Kathy's money, and burned down her café almost killing Peter and Bobby Beale.

Taking to X, one fan commented: "Right, but it’s ’may they get what they deserve’ so Jack, Phil and Rocky can’t die!!" as another said: "Phil & Jack - Only crime cheating." A third fan said: "Don't forget though Jack & Phil could easily be red herrings, after all they haven't actually done anything to deserve paying the ultimate price."
