LookFantastic has slashed the price of best selling YSL perfume to under £50
LookFantastic have slashed the price of a best selling Yves Saint Laurent perfume just in time for Christmas. The wildly popular Libre typically retails at £65 but is now 20% off at just £48.54.
The iconic perfume was launched in 2019 and has since expanded to have a few different variations although the original remains undeniably popular. It opens with notes of lavender, mandarin, blackcurrant and petitgrain.
Lavender lingers on in the heart notes where it's joined with orange blossom and jasmine for a deliciously floral scent. The base is much more comforting skin scents with Madagascar Vanilla, Musk, Cedar and Ambergris.
Shoppers are obsessed with it, it's pulled in an average rating of 4.87 across over 200 reviews and everyone seems to agree that it smells expensive. One shopper said: "I bought this perfume without testing it or trying it before, after reading the description and people's opinions I decided to take a risk. It turned out to be a hit, it has a really great scent and a beautiful bottle."
Libre is one of YSL's best-selling fragrances (YSL)A second penned: "Loved this so much bought a 2nd. Always get compliments when I wear it. It’s quite subtle and not overpowering so think most people will like it."
A third wrote: "Smells of wealth. This is how I imagine women who have benefitted greatly from divorce smell."
A fourth added: "Such a beautiful scent. Currently one of my favourites - sweet but elegant. My friend liked the scent so much she asked what it was and bought it herself!"
Our very own fragrance expert Jada Jones has tried the scent and said: "Libre is one of those perfumes that smells expensive. It's by no means the most expensive perfume in my collection, that has to go to a bottle of Parfum de Marly I picked up in a sale, but it smells like wearing designer heels with a signature bag slung off your arm.
"This is a scent that instils a sense of confidence and always makes me stand a little taller. If you want a perfume that makes you feel powerful this is a great one, I got it myself as a Christmas present and loved it."
It's been compared to the more expensive and discontinued La Perla's About That Night which has many overlapping notes. You can get Libre now for £48.54.
