An all-improved way to snap your favourite memories or shoot impressive social media videos, has the best of Samsung’s S Series features packed into a flagship device.

Despite being launched in February 2023, and with another Samsung Ultra model on the cards for 2024, the device is still a top contender for tech shoppers. And one we regularly recommend.

As the biggest phone in Samsung’s S Series, sitting alongside the 2023 Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, the S23 Ultra is a boosted version of the other two models. For years, the Ultra models in each Galaxy series have had the edge when it comes to screens and power.

With a bigger battery life, sharper screen, and quicker processing speeds, thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, there’s a whole lot more packed into this 6.8-inch display.

After testing it out here’s what the Samsung S23 Ultra has to offer which is backed by The After getting his hands on the model to review its features, this is what he had to say.

Starting with the overall thoughts on the S23 Ultra’s 200MP main camera. In his review James said: “The camera system is one of the best on a smartphone with its large quad-camera system on the back that doesn’t stick out too far from the body.

“The main camera has a 200MP sensor, and it is capable of taking huge photos and stunning videos. The main camera was able to capture staggering amounts of detail and I could crop and enlarge photos to insane levels and manage to retain an impressive level of detail.”

The other cameras featured on the S23 Ultra device include a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 10MP periscope telephoto camera. Another favourite feature of the S23 Ultra is the phone’s strong and sturdy frame, which James reviewed as being ‘incredibly solid’ making it one of the most well-protected phones he’s ever used.

Finishing off his review of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, James said:

“Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is one of the most impressive smartphones available to date, with a sleek and modern design, a powerful processor, and impressive camera capabilities.”
