Neighbours of the woman who is believed to have jumped to her death from a luxury New York apartment block have revealed the reason they think it's impossible she accidentally fell.

Alina Page, 35, fell from The Brittany in the city's Upper East Side. She was found critically injured by the road below and was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away. People who live in her building say it would be difficult to accidentally fall off the building.

A neighbour mentioned, "The railing is really tall ... I would say at least 4 feet. [The windows] don't open. They crack. All of them have child safety. I have small cats so they wouldn't be able to fit through. So she wouldn't. I'm just glad I didn't see it. It's a very family-friendly building."

Police sources told the New York Post she jumped after her husband confronted her about her drinking habits.

Heartbroken husband, Brian Page, a successful surgeon, said he wasn't home when the tragedy happened. He didn't answer questions about whether there was a fight between them but told a reporter: "She was the love of my life, my soulmate. I am devastated."

The couple and their two children lived in a fancy £7,500 per month flat at the time. Authorities confirmed that Alina's injuries were due to a fall from an "elevated height". It's suggested she may have leaped from the rooftop terrace of the building.

An NYPD spokesperson stated that Alina's injuries were consistent with a fall. No signs of foul play were detected in her death as of now, but investigations are still underway. The family moved to New York in 2021 from Temple, Texas. Russian-born Alina, who married Brian in 2007, often shared loving photos of her home and family on social media

This comes just after another sad story where a man lost his life by falling from a posh hotel. The police are checking out what happened after he fell from the Gotham Hotel on October 27, which costs a lot to stay in for just one night.

This is the same hotel where Stephanie Adams, a Playboy model, and her little boy Vincent died after they fell from the 25th floor. Adams was having a big fight with her husband, Charles Nicolai, about their son. People think she may have pushed her seven year old son out the window before jumping herself. They both hit a balcony and were gone when help arrived.
