EastEnders newcomer Brett is about to turn Zack Hudson's life upside down with a bombshell, as he debuts on the BBC soap.
The character is played by actor Fabrizio Santino, best known for his role as Ziggy Roscoe in Hollyoaks between 2013 and 2015.
The actor actually shares a close link to a recently departed EastEnders cast member, and a soap legend who is still on the show.
Fabrizio worked very closely with both of these stars in the past, with them all related onscreen while on Hollyoaks together.
The Brett actor's Hollyoaks character Ziggy was the brother of Robbie Roscoe, who was portrayed by Charlie Wernham.

Charlie was on EastEnders this year so just missed out on reuniting with Fabrizio in Walford, while his character Aaron Monroe left in October.
Aaron remains in prison, but his dad Harvey is still in Albert Square so perhaps he may return one day.

Someone he may have reunited with during filming was his other former co-star Gillian Taylforth, who plays legend Kathy Beale on the BBC show.
Hollyoaks fans will remember Gillian played Sandy Roscoe on the Channel 4 soap, the mother of Ziggy and Robbie.
Now, actor Fabrizio is back on the same show as his onscreen mother - while their characters are completely unrelated this time around.

It doesn't seem likely that their paths will cross given his role is solely linked to Zack and their new storyline.
That said, we imagine it must have been a nice surprise for the former onscreen mother and son to be back together again - if they got the chance.
EastEnders is Fabrizio's first soap role since his exit as Hollyoaks favourite Ziggy just over seven years ago.

Ziggy had survived the blast, which saw him save Leela Lomax from a presumed gas leak - actually caused by her on/off lover Cameron Campbell.
But on Christmas Eve while he was celebrating with friends at the pub, Ziggy died suddenly - while everyone had assumed he was asleep.
Fans sobbed as they learned Ziggy had actually suffered an epidural hematoma, and with him not being checked over after the blast he died.
Since then, actor Fabrizio has starred in a number of short films with EastEnders marking his return to soaps.
