Prince George’s future school has reportedly been decided by his parents, with Kate said to have had the final say.

Whilst ordinary Brits will face the choice between one local secondary school and another - both likely state schools - Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales are said to have been deciding between two of the country’s most costly boarding schools.

The future king’s education has reportedly been up in the air for months, caught between two private, fee-paying colleges. Similar to other parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales face the difficult decision over their son’s education - but unlike normal families, they seemingly have their pick of the bunch, and are leaning towards the costlier ones.

Earlier this year, in the summer, William and Kate were spotted by eagle-eyed royal watchers, with Prince George, visiting Eton College, in Berkshire. The famous all-boys school is known for its eye-watering fees and illustrious alumni which includes Princes William and Harry.

However, a few months later, in October, it was said that Kate was touring Marlborough College, in Wiltshire, the expensive school she herself attended as a teen. Although youngsters don’t actually attend the school until they’re teenagers, enrolment is determined from as young as 10.

And it now seems that Kate has had the final say with regards to where George will finally go to school - with her own private college winning out. Speaking to Life&Style Mag, a royal source reportedly said: "After years of discussion and heated debate between William, Kate and King Charles III, the family have made a choice.

"While the royal family expected that George would follow in William's footsteps, Kate got the final say - They’ll both be students at Marlborough. This way, George and Charlotte will have a few years where they’ll overlap at the same school. Kate has fond memories of her time there and feels it’s a better fit for her children."

It isn't known if Prince Louis will later follow in his sibling's footsteps in attending Marlborough College, which costs £15,665 per term. Princess Eugenie also attended the expensive school, meaning the youngsters won’t be the first royals there.

Once settled in Wiltshire, the young royals would only be an hour's drive from home as well. The royal source also told the outlet that Kate had long been keen that her kids had a more "normal upbringing" than their father William did.
